East and Southern Africa Ocean Resilience Alliance
Mariners for Action (MFA) is a member of the East & Southern Africa Ocean Resilience Alliance, a regional multi-country consortium working across Kenya, Tanzania, Mozambique, and Madagascar to advance ocean resilience, climate action, public health, and sustainable blue economy development. Through this alliance, MFA collaborates with regional partners to strengthen coastal ecosystem restoration, promote sustainable livelihoods, support community-led climate adaptation, and enhance cross-border knowledge exchange within the Western Indian Ocean region.
Transform Bottom Trawling Coalition
MFA as a member of Transorm Bottom Trawling Coalition,a global movement uniting fishing communities against the most destructive form of industrial fishing is currently running a one year program on sustainable fisheries management advocacy with the support of Blue Ventures
Tangled Seas
We are proud to partner with Tangled Seas, a conservation film project based in India. Beyond the film, Tangled Seas leads a full-scale impact campaign addressing the issue of ghost nets—abandoned fishing gear that threatens marine life.
Together, we raise awareness and drive change to protect our oceans from this destructive form of marine debris.
